Poor people do poor people things, and rich people do rich people things.
You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

Opened Minded, or blindly submissive?
Never be so eager to appear opened-minded that you are willing to accept anything that sounds wise or logical just so you can appear cool with your friends and peers, or to make yourself feel more “intelligent.” Politically correct is a good thing in the aspect of respecting others rights. But when someone has to change their own beliefs to accommodate yet another persons views, who’s rights has been infringed on?
A man who hasn’t found something he is willing to die for is not fit to live.
Quote from the -Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
My view of this is the same. But for me the quote better fits myself as:
“One who hasn’t found something worth dying for hasn’t yet found a reason to live.”
Are we gods? No. Of course not. And most of us realize that.. So why do we subconsciously act like it?
Have we as humans placed ourselves in such regard as to think we are so “godly” that if there is something that can not be detected with our limited 5 senses then it apparently must not exist? How many things can you think of that exist that we as humans can not detect with our cognitive senses? Why is it that we think we are so (again) “godly” that we know all, see all, hear all, smell all ( you get the point. )
Surely most animals share the same 5 senses yet do not regard themselves as so important.

A woman without her man is nothing.”——- Posted By: BlueNexus
Read the following sentence: A woman without her man is nothing.
A professor wrote the words, “A woman without her man is nothing” on the blackboard and directed his students to punctuate it correctly. Two primary variants were written.
1 Some wrote- “Woman, without her man, is nothing.”
2 While others wrote- “Woman: Without her, man is nothing.”
The original posting of this said most men wrote the 1st one and most women wrote the 2nd. However, I find it quite odd that after showing this to several people ( 9 actually ) of which 7 were women; 6 of the 7 women wrote the punctuation as the 1st choice. That persuades me to consider the validity of this story.
I actually had one lady argue with me that the 2nd one was not acceptable because that type of thinking causes women to become to selfish, arrogant and indulgent and thus socially inept. Oddly enough that lady is not only very intelligent, but a female-liberal and independent and is very strong on women’s rights. I think that’s why I love her.
And on a final twist, I’m a guy, and I prefer the 2nd punctuation version. I believe a man is nothing without a good woman. There’s nothing like having a good woman in a mans life to keep him straight and ambitious about life. And to give him support where his occasional ignorance gets in his way.

Ten Rules for Being Human
![]()
by Cherie Carter-Scott
1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it’s yours to keep for the entire period.
2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, “life.”
3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately “work.”
4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.
5. Learning lessons does not end. There’s no part of life that doesn’t contain its lessons. If you’re alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.
6. “There” is no better a place than “here.” When your “there” has become a “here”, you will simply obtain another “there” that will again look better than “here.”
7. Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.
8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.
9. Your answers lie within you. The answers to life’s questions lie within you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.
10. You will forget all this.
Very very moving. Sung in 2 languages. The translations has good meaning too. Relax first.. Listen to it and, relax more. Enjoy!
Is the mind and the brain the same thing? If not what is your soul? Here’s one view… By: BlueNexus
If you believe people have a soul and are a sentient being then the short article below may poke your brain and make you think a bit.
The mind, the brain, the body- and what of your soul?
Consider this. ( The brain and the mind are not the same thing. ) The mind is your actual soul. Then you have your body. How can an intangible entity ( your mind or soul ) - with no physical hands to pick up or touch an object like your like your mp3 play or car keys for example? How can this intangible soul feel or hear the vibrations of air we call sound without an physical ear drum to detect it? How can this same soul detect light reflecting off of matter that we call sight? The answer is simple. It does these things with a corporeal host that we call our body. So what is the brain? It acts as the same thing as the steering wheel, the gear shift, the gas pedal and the break of a car.. It’s what the soul or your mind uses to not only steer yourself around in this world and touch or move things but also to see, hear, smell, taste, and feel the things of this world.. The brain is the control center of the body that the mind uses to physically react to this world.. Both input and output. The mind and brain are certainly not the same thing. Consider your body like a car you drive and ride in except it can also see, hear, smell, ect. And your soul does all of this with this nifty little user interface we call a brain.
Your body is a like a car? hrrmm - Too bad I can’t trade in my body for a newer model.
